The company is engaged in the manufacture of metal packaging products in Spain. It was founded in 1972 and conducts its business from its registered head office located in Las Torres de Cotillas. The company is recognized as Spain's leading manufacturer of tinplate cans for food products, principally canned fruits and vegetables, fish and meat products. The recognized quality of its products has enabled the company to position itself as the leader in the Spanish market for tinplate food can. It has also achieved constant growth internationally and exports represent almost 50 percent of sales, positioning the company as the third European manufacturer in the tinplate food can sector. The company's product range includes three-piece cans, two-piece cans, easy open ends, standard ends and Mivisa caps. The company aims to continuously develop and improve its industrial, logistics and sales processes and build customer services in order to fully meet the needs of producers in the food industry. The company has six production plants in Spain, particularly in La Rioja, Murcia, Extremadura, Galicia and Asturias. It also has a major presence abroad through its wholly-owned subsidiaries Mivisa France S.A.R.L. and Mivisa USA Inc.
